Adult ADHD referrals triage service

A new adult ADHD referrals triage service is being introduced to make the process fairer and more consistent for everyone. This service is for adults aged 18 and over who are registered with a GP in Lambeth.

If you speak to your GP about possible ADHD for the first time, your GP will now refer you to this new triage service.

Here’s what will happen:

1) Your GP will check that you meet the criteria and send your referral
2) The triage team will review your referral and arrange an appointment with an ADHD clinician if suitable
3) After your triage, you’ll receive information about NHS and Patient Choice options for a full ADHD assessment

This service helps to make sure that everyone is assessed fairly, and that referrals are sent to the right place.

Important notes

– This service only affects new referrals for a first ADHD assessment
– If you have already been referred or are on a waiting list, nothing changes for you
– If you have already been diagnosed with ADHD, this does not affect your care

If you think you may be experiencing symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or autism, we encourage you to book an appointment to discuss this further.
