Measles cases are rising in London

Please make sure your child is up to date with their vaccinations and book an appointment at the surgery to catch up on missed doses. Two doses of the MMR vaccine can provide lifelong protection against measles.

Measles is more than just a rash. 1 in 5 children with measles will need hospital treatment. It can cause serious complications and in rare cases can be fatal.

If you are unsure if you or your child are up to date with your vaccinations, please contact the practice.

SUMMIT – Research Study Participation

Patients between the ages of 50 and 77 at Grafton Square Surgery are being invited to participate in a research study run by University College London (UCL) and the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).

Qualifying patients will receive a letter from the surgery. If you are interested in participating, please call the phone number on the letter. You will be asked some questions as part of a telephone assessment consultation. Depending on your answers, you may be invited to attend a Lung Health Check, which may include a scan of your lungs, and you may be asked for a blood sample.

The study is entirely voluntary and you are not required to participate if you do not wish to.

In order for Grafton Square Surgery to participate in this study, the practice will be sharing the names and addresses of potential participants with UCL and UCLH. If you participate, the study team will store your details for up to 10 years. There will be strict security measures to ensure that your data is kept safe.

Opt Out

Please let reception staff know if you do not want the study team to have your information. Opting out will not affect any of your future care. You will continue to be invited for other NHS appointments and activities.
